Carl Larson
Search Engine Optimist Founder
After serving his country as a Combat Engineer in Kuwait and Iraq, Carl saw the huge opportunity in Digital Marketing and learned everything he could about online strategies. Over the next decade, he built and led teams that grew digital revenues for Fortune 500 companies and major brands. As an internet marketing professional with strong technical skills, he also enjoys personally delivering complex, high ROI online projects in fast-paced agency and enterprise environments.
Carl spreads his passion for Internet Marketing:
Co-founder and board member of the Seattle Search Network, a 501c6 trade group for eMarketers.
Adjunct faculty University of Washington, Bothell, teaching eMarketing 431 course. (Proud that all my students seeking work received full-time positions within 3 months of graduation.)
Volunteered pro bono Direct Marketing services to local nonprofits including Northwest Folklife and the Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy.
Speaker at Seattle GiveCamp, and conferences such as Connect Miami, Mill Creek and Puyallup Chambers of Commerce.
Carl is one of my favorite digital marketing geeks in Seattle. He’s very knowledgeable, eager to share his wisdom, a hard worker and a great networker. He was part of the Digital Marketing Certification course at the UW but I’ve known him for years as an SEO expert and driver of the Search Network.
— Scott Fasser, VP Marketing at Discuss.io
When he’s not figuring out how to grow your business faster, Carl enjoys the outdoors, camping trips in the wilderness, and riding his motorcycle – once from Seattle to Guatemala and back.
